National Association of Securities Professionals Honors Quintin E. Primo III
NOVEMBER 2005 - CHICAGO, IL - The Chicago Chapter of the National Association of Securities Professionals (NASP) has named Capri Capital Advisors, LLC, Chairman & CEO Quintin E. Primo III as its Entrepreneur of the Year. NASP honored Primo at its annual Hall of Fame Awards Dinner.
“It's a very big honor to be recognized by the National Association of Securities Professionals,” said Primo. “While this is an individual award, I'd also like to recognize by partner and my incredible staff. As a team, we work tirelessly to carryout the vision of Capri Capital Advisors.”
The NASP honor comes on the heels of Primo being named to Fortune Magazine's 2005 Diversity List of Most Influential People, and being featured in the November issue of Black Enterprise Magazine.
Primo has over 20 years of experience in the real estate investment and capital markets. Prior to founding Capri Capital Advisors, LLC with his partner Daryl Carter, Primo was Managing Director of Q. Primo & Company, Inc., a real estate investment banking firm established in 1988 specializing in foreign and domestic private placements. Before forming Q. Primo & Company, he was employed with Citicorp Real Estate, Inc. where he was Vice President and manager of the Chicago lending team and Regional Vice President of the real estate investment banking group.
Primo holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, with honors and high distinction, from Indiana University. He is a voting member of the Pension Real Estate Association and Urban Land Institute. Additionally, he is a board member of the Real Estate Roundtable.
Primo is active in civic and charitable organizations. He is a member of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago Advisory Council and Economic Club of Chicago; he serves as a board trustee of the Chicago Community Trust, (Episcopal) Church Pension Group and the University of Chicago Hospitals.
Additionally, he is Chairman of two non-profit organizations. The Real Estate Executive Council (REEC) works to achieve economic parity and recognition for minorities in commercial real estate; and the Primo Center for Women and Children, a transitional shelter for homeless women and their children, located on the Westside of Chicago.
